To build schools and to organize Medical Care Flights in North-West of Nepal.

Map of Nepal

The people in high-situated North-West region of Nepal live under very difficult circumstances.

They are cut off from infrastructure like roads. Only a few tourists are showing up in this area.

To reach the next road a healthy Nepalese needs 2 1/2 weeks.

A Patient Ambulance Transport is not possible !

The only chance is to use a plane from the mountain village Simikot to the next hospital in Nepalgunj which is located at the southern border of Nepal. Only a few poeple can afford this.

The flight from Simikot to Nepalgunj is the only transport chance for sick people

People’s poverty in the area of Humla

  • Utterly devastating medical care
  • No hospital
  • No surgery
  • Transportation to Simikot takes days
  • Badly equipped schools
  • Inadequate educational material
  • No electricity or Telefone

In the area of Humla every winter people freeze to death and die of starvation.

Very often women die when giving birth because of missing medical care and leave behind families with a lot of small children

School in Dadaphaya with teacher and with B. Reininger

Formation of our project

Since years our chair woman Brigitte Reininger-Faden takes care about her godson Surajan in this area. Because of her personal engagement and with the help of Pemba Doma which is a nice friend Surajan could go to High-School in Kathmandu. His dream is to become a pilot for a Nepalese Airline. April 2008 Brigitte visited him in his village. Brigitte was fascinated and deeply moved about the kindness and heartiness of these people. On the otherhand she was deeply shocked about the medical undersupply. Children with broken arms and legs, injuries, bullous burns are without help. Nearly everyone suffers from opthalmitis.

Buddha was asked by one of his students

‚Master, can you tell me who is the most important person in my life and what will be the most important achevement in my life?’

Buddha answered

‚The most important person in your life is always the person in front of you. The most important achievment is the one which is coming from your heart.

Nepal is so near

These people are standing in front of us.
